Purpose of this Focus Community
Welcome to the Asset Health Focus Community! The purpose of this community is to develop CIM standards support for asset health, in particular the Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) paradigm. Starting with the first web meeting on 4 Dec 2012, this focus community will develop the use cases and requirements for a CIM standards framework to support best-of-breed CBM practices, which might include integration of data from various data sources, including operations, maintenance, and condition monitoring sources; application of analytics to this multi-faceted data set; and launching notifications and work orders.
Various activities meet with various cadences:
- Biweekly (virtual): Subcommittees on use-case data modeling or testing & certification
- Monthly (virtual): General Focus Community update
- Ad-hoc (virtual): Marketing subcommittee for any upcoming User Group meetings or events
- Annually (in-person): Meet-up at one or more UCA User Group meetings
The Asset Health Focus Community is comprised of a diverse mix of energy industry stakeholders including electric utilities, hardware and software vendors, research labs, federal government, and consultants. These dedicated individuals contribute as they are able and participate in activities based on interest and ability.
